SUNSHINE CAMPGROUND From the south
Take Rte. 95 to the Augusta exit. This will put you onto Western Ave, which you will take to the rotary. Go to the other side of the rotary and across the bridge. This will bring you to a second rotary. Go around the rotary to Rt. 202. Follow this road for about one mile to RT 3. This road is immediately after the Mobil station, both on the right hand side. This is also across from the Dairy Queen. Follow Rt. 3 to Rt. 1 in Belfast. Take Rte. 1 north to Bucksport and then continue on past Bucksport.
After several miles at the top of a hill you’ll pass “H.O.M.E.” on the right. After a few more miles, take a soft right onto Rte. 15. There is a Texaco Station on the right at the “V”. Follow Rte. 15 all the way in through Blue Hill on toward Deer Isle.
Once over the Deer Isle Bridge, follow Rte. 15 for approx. 6 miles. Turn left at the “Millpond Mobil Station” and continue on the Sunshine Road for approx. 5 1/2 miles. Sunshine Campground is at the bottom of the hill on the right.
SUNSHINE CAMPGROUND From north of Bangor
Take Rte. 95 south to Rt. 395 & Rte. 15 east. This is exit 45 East. Once over the river, take the exit for Rte. 15 to Bucksport. When you come down the ramp to the lights take a left at the lights. This will take you right into Bucksport. Continue with the same directions above from Bucksport to Rte. 15 into Deer Isle. (In Bucksport Rt. 15 joins with Rt. 1). Find the Sunshine Cheap Campground at the bottom of the hill on the right.
